Thought I was going to go through my whole life without having to own a V-twin. However the comfort, power, and performance of this machine have caused me to pause and rethink.

This bike costs 7 times what I paid for my last bike, admittedly a used specimen with some miles on the clock. I voted cool because I can appreciate the comfort of a bike like this on a long road trip. I am glad there are people to buy them new or I wouldn't get to ride at all.

I already own a V-twin as well so I can tell you you won't be disappointed riding one.

Definitely not my cup to tea but these bikes do exactly what they were designed to do, and they do it really, really well.

Indeed. I wouldn't call it uncool outright. I just can't see a single thing that's interesting about it.

The problem is, they don't do it for me. After test-sitting on a number of FLH series Harleys, I've concluded the ergonomics somehow just don't work for me. The relationship between seat position, foot position, and handlebars simply feels all crossed-up. I've sat on big touring Victorys, and somehow they feel more natural to me. Different strokes, etc, etc.

$25K is a lot of coin for a motorcycle. Meh.

No vote, I guess, until TotalMike gives us a "meh" option :whistling:

I went with: Uncool... only because I think the front is a fail for an otherwise Cool bike.

There is something "land-yachtish" about the Harley-Davidson Touring bikes, they are luxurious long-haul bling at a premium price. I've had the chance to ride the Road King in the past and while it isn't for me (big and heavy around the city) I really enjoyed riding it on the highway, it was truly at home on the black tarmac.

Harley-Davidson again brings back another retro legend, the Road Glide Ultra, a previous touring class staple with updated looks and retro headlights. It's good. But I've said for over a decade now that the big H-D needs to introduce models that attract the millennials to the brand. Pardon the huge swath statement here, but I don't think those under 30 really get H-D's retro 50-80s looking bikes. They love angles, technology and new stuff. They don't always have a link to the past that we (older riders) remember. That said, I have no doubt they think H-D is COOL, but the product might not be for them.
