I haven't been around in a while,I hope everyone is doing well.
I started riding 3 years ago, took the BRC,and bought a Nighthawk 750,was having a good time, then I had knee surgery,2nd season riding after surgery was extremely painful, the NH forces me to bend my knee so my leg is almost a V as opposed to an L which is comfortable.
so this year I only made it down the street before my knee was screaming, and the bike has sit all season because it's too painful to ride,I was looking into moving the pegs and controls, but there is little to no accesories for my bike, and my biz has been in the tank all year so funds are not available.
my bike is in great shape and I like it's looks and style but it is a torture machine anymore.
I plan on trading it for something else in the spring that is more comfortable,I'm thinking Virago 750.
any thoughts on my conundrum? _________________ I Only Kill Deer Because The Live One's Are Hard To Eat.

Hey man!!! Good to hear from you again, even if everything isn't all great.
You know, when I was in the Air Force I worked closely with the machinists and I have to say... They can do just about anything. If you really like the bike find a machinist that is also a biker and see if he can do anything.

Oxbow - sorry to hear about your dilemma. I own a Nighthawk S and frequent the Nighthawk Forums page. It's:
http://nighthawk-forums.com/
If you want to sell your NH, that's the place to start. Good luck. _________________ 1984 CB700sc Nighthawk S |

after some head scratching, and finding a comfortable way to sit on my bike,I think I have a solution.
the seat:
I guess I have to have a seat made that doesn't slope down like the original NH seat,I want one that is more like the old UJM seats that is straight across.
Handle bars:
I need to extend the handle bars 4-6 inches so that I don't have to lean forward to reach them.
any idea what these mod's would cost? _________________ I Only Kill Deer Because The Live One's Are Hard To Eat.
