2007 V-Star 650 Silverado Oil Check

#1 Unread post by PadreBeaton »

:D OK, so I just got a 2007 V-Star 650 Silverado and I can not find how to check the oil level on the bike. I have NO owners manual and when I open the oil cap, there is no stick to check the level. So how does one check the oil level on this bike? Thanks

There should be a window on the bottom of the engine case on (probably) the right hand side of the bike. When you check it, make sure the bike is level, have someone hold it for you. Otherwise there will be too much oil if you fill it so that it looks good on the sidestand...

i think its on the left side ( if youre sitting on the bike) and located below the shifter peg...
you'll need either to have someone look at it for you or have a mirror as its a pain in the rear
