Nope - that's what they should have done with the VTR. A thing of beauty.
Yep true but I could not find the pic of the VFR800FI based naked concept bike that was on the cover of one of the motorcycle rags (Cycle World or Motorcyclist) about a decade ago. Do you know the one I'm talking about? From my recollection, it looked even better than the V-twin bike.

I can't recall the bike you are talking about but would love to see it. If Honda would have made the concept bike from your picture I would have been the first in line. The VTR 1000 engine was the most fun of any bike that I have owned.

No absolutely nothing like that. It was loosely based on the 1998-2001 VFR800FI Interceptor and it was a super radical looking naked bike similar to the V-Twin bike I posted but even more radical looking. Although this was over 10 years ago. I know it was on the cover of one of the major US motorcycle rags. :boat:

Haters keep hating
:P
I hear all kinds of comments from people who wonder how I could buy the most reviled bike in Honda history. Do I not know much about bikes? Am I blinded by my Honda glasses that won't let me see the truth about what a POSit is? Maybe. But I blame the marketing guys who built it up with teaser videos for months before they released it. I think that time will be kind to this VFR. When the 2002 came out and even the 98 before it people bitched and whined that they weren't a true vfr by their definition and therefore must suck. Even the 96 which I feel may have been the best Honda ever (for the time) was labelled as boring and underperforming. I stopped listening to other people opnions of what makes a great bike long ago :P. Ill find out for myself and let you know. If it is a POS you will hear that too.

Cheers

I'm all for a naked bike that's pretty much a superbike with handlebars and a comfortable riding position, instead of some detuned and/or previous gen engine. For that reason alone, the Tuono is cool. Would've been awesome if it was better looking though. The previous gen Tuono (though not exactly pretty either) looked better than this V4R.
