I think it was all of them, not just the early ones. They supposedly adapted a Briggs & Stratton Vanguard v-twin. Not sure exactly which one - Ridley claimed a 750cc displacement, the Vanguard line jumps from 627cc to 896cc....

So much money for such an uninteresting bike. Fail.

LOL, I got mixed up and thought it was the Brutale 800 for this week.. DOH.

Anyways, my vote: Fail.

Sorry Ridley, I really like the independent idea of starting up a motorcycle company all based on a unique concept (all auto transmission bikes) but the styling looked so industrial; which is fine for manufacturers like URAL as it goes with their Russian theme, but we are talking about the US cruiser market and that's a whole different ball game there.

On a side note I was in HEB supermarket and saw a guy wearing a Ridley motorcycle T-shirt! Never seen a Ridley bike in person and was shocked to see the Ridley T-Shirt!

Crazy.

Now the extremely exciting, finishing results... after 1 week of voting:

Your Coolness Factor of the 2009 Ridley Auto-Glide Standard is...

Awesome 0%
Cool 0%
Uncool 15%
Fail 85%

Wow. 85% Fail.

That's harsh but sadly accurate. You never know, maybe we haven't seen the last of Ridley or US startup motorcycle companies with unique ideas. My advice would be research your market and price accordingly.

That's just basic marketing 101....I'd also suggest they throw a few more pennies at design....gah, what an ugly POS with no redeeming characteristics or charm.
Always ask why.
