Not much to say other than uncool. That being said, anything made in South Korea is light years ahead of POS made in China.

I voted: Cool

For $4k for a starter cruiser that looks like it's designed for bigger riders and current up to date styling too, not bad at all! But for $800 more I'd have to look at the Honda Rebel 250, it's a Honda after all, but then again, it's a 20+ year old design too...

Versus the CCW 250cc that was up last week it's quite an upgrade for an extra $800, but then again, you lose the charater as well but gain reliability (but $800 will get you even more reliability). Quite a call.

I would be happy to smile at any new rider enjoying themselves on the GV250. :revv:

Well said.

Out of curiosity, I cruised on over to Hyosung's website and checked to see if all the GV's were this new style. Turns out, I was sorely uneducated.

The GV650 is still the edgy, techno cruiser I love, and it turns out Hyosung has always had a traditional cruiser body style on offer -- the ST7. All this I probably could have learned right here on TMW, but it's my habit to head to a manufacturers website when I have questions.

What I don't understand is why Hyosung badged this the GV250, when it would make more sense to keep the ST7 and GV styles separate. This bike should be the ST7-250, not the GV250.

There are things I like about this - the fuel tank is more reasonable than the one on a v-star 250, for instance - but overall, this bike looks a little too heavy. A 250 probably shouldn't be your first choice for a full dress touring cruiser. Also, not a fan of those cast wheels. I'm okay with cast wheels in a more general sense, but not those.

Like some others here, I'd check out a new Rebel first; she's an old beast of burden, but she's tried-and-true.

It was a bit of a struggle but I ended up at Cool.

This is not the kind of bike I would buy and for that reason I guess to me personally it's uncool, but in the grand scheme of the market I think the bike is quite cool. There isn't a lot of choice out there for "starter" bikes and I like that companies such as Hyosung are trying to fill that gap left by the majors. The styling is modern and mainstream and that always helps sell a person on a new brand (i.e. new to them, not new as a company!).

I kind of think the rider in the photo looks uncomfortable, all huddled up at the front with neck down, but that's kind of why I don't like cruisers so maybe I'm a bit biased. ;)

Quite an interesting turnout, not quite the 230+ votes of the CCW, which I do suspect is a little suspect; but anyways it does go to show the Hyosung just isn't as popular as the CCW for interest sake, but that is secondary to the vote result, which is:

COOL FACTOR: 61.0%

Your Coolness Factor of the 2013 Hyosung GV250 is...

Awesome (3 points) 9% [ 3 ]
Cool (2 points) 40% [ 14 ]
Uncool (1 point) 26% [ 9 ]
Fail (0 point) 26% [ 9 ]

Total votes : 35
Total Score: 64

35/64 = 1.83 / 3 * 100% = 61.0%

Im on my 2nd gv250 because the driver of the car that turned in front of me didnt see me butttt this is the best 250 out there for a 4 11 female and my husband is a harley rider and luvs the look and the reliability. And I can handle the weight with confidence. I started off on a rebel and moved up. We moved recently and had to drive 5 hours round trip just to to get the same bike, my husband searched for something comparable( and closer) and nothing else compares, it looks good and runs great. I just wish they had better advertising in the US. This little bike kicks butt.
