That said, there's a sort of 'necessary evil' about enduros. Here in Utah we have some world-famous off-roading down in Moab, but more than 90% of the Moab trails are considered 'real' roads despite being dirt. That means you have to have a fully registered street legal machine to ride them, so an enduro is your only real option. Which is why I can't give this a Fail.
i think you mean Dual Purpose or Dual Sports. Enduros are not street legal.
I went awesome. The SM is fun on the street, trail and go kart tracks. A bit heavy, not the greatest power but a fun hooligan bike that's also suitable for the beginner. You also don't need to rebuild it as much as the similar huskies or ktms.
When I saw the pic, I went into fantasy mode, there are so many roads here in SA that just scream to be ridden with a bike like that, tar, good gravel, farm roads and a bit of dirt and desert. Makes it an awesome for me.
I spent my therapy money an a K1200S
The therapy worked, I got a GS now
A touch of insanity crept back in the shape of an R1200R
I really love the electric blue rims, WOW, not only do they really stand out but I haven't seen many production bikes with this look before. Also the blue/white color scheme really looks great IMO and makes me want to get out and ride this bike.
The price is quite good considering it must be a low number of production bike. 321lbs for a 400cc bike? That isn't really heavy, a 80's 400cc would be around 400lbs.
Some of the down sides would be the dated headlight and mirror design. It wouldn't take much for Suzuki to make these look more modern IMO.
Aftermarket can fix those problems as well & pretty cheaply too...everyone I know that has one, just loves it...just don't know if wifey will allow me to get a second bike, I'm thinking "no" is the response...
Bummer.
Later.

Have you tried flowers, dinner, her favorite movie and a back massage?
I think it's a little expensive for what you get. Agree with Mike, that dated-looking headlight & fairing could use updating. Supermotos are cool urban combat bikes though. If I had an in-city commute, I could see using this as my weapon of choice.
Zukes in my experience are stone-ax reliable, so I'm assuming this would be too.

I don't think it would work...paying off the line of credit, that would...but time isn't on my side for that one!
Maybe next season...
