I love the look of the Moto Guzzi bikes and I would love to own one. Perhaps a V7 Special, but I also love the idea of long distance riding, there are so many places I want to visit, and the lack of a strong dealer network weighs heavy on my mind. The Griso is just gorgeous.

If I lived in a city with a good Guzzi dealer and had room in the budget for two bikes so that one could just be used in the local environs, then one of the bikes in my garage would be a Moto Guzzi, or perhaps a Ducati, I love the exhaust art on the Ducati Diavel.

What man doesn't want to ride a naked Italian supermodel?

The Griso is easily an Awesome.

Beautiful bike. If I was single I'd buy one just for the bar bunnies.

Like some women I've known, this bike looks great from the back but it all falls apart in profile. Tank's too low and long to look muscular, and whatever the hell that thing is on the exhaust tip looks great from the back and ridiculous from the side.

That said, I still wanna jump on it and make it scream. Still not the bike to lure me away from cruisers, but it's close. A solid Cool.

I think I've seen the Griso in one form or another (concept bike to 8v) for almost a decade, and I still haven't gotten tired of those looks. An awesome modern classic, and there really is nothing else like it out there.

I voted: Awesome (or Cool+)

I considered the Griso 1200 when I bought my V7 Stone, it definitely is a very unique bike on the market, amazing engine, awesome performance and is a true torque beast. I also really like the design of it and the colour choices Moto Guzzi has done. Even the price for the Griso from a top tier manufacturer like Guzzi is very reasonable. In short, it's pretty awesome. I wonder if there will ever be a V7 "Big Block" Guzzi. :revv:

What made me not buy the Griso was it's riding position (for me, a tall rider), the pegs, seat and handlebar just made me feel a little too pretzel like. If Guzzi lowered the pegs and/or raised the seat then it would have helped.

That said, it's an awesome bike (way to go Moto Guzzi) and I wonder what will come of the next generation Griso as now the California 1400 engine is out...

One thing for sure, Guzzi's are all unique bikes full of character. I'm sure it's 6's and 7's for some but it's one of those engines (small or big block) you just have to take a test ride on and see what it's like.

2013 Moto Guzzi Griso 1200 8V SE - Coolness Factor = 83.3%
Featured: April 26th, 2013 - May 3rd, 2013
Most popular vote category: Awesome

Amazingly we only have 2 bikes in our 2013 Cool Wall lineup that have had 0 fail votes and they are both Moto Guzzi's! In fact, this particular Moto Guzzi with it's final score of 83.3% rockets it up to #1 SPOT on our Cool Wall making it THE most cool bike to date. It's unfortunate then there are not many riders taking advantage of such an awesome bike as there are few on the roads, but maybe that is what makes the Griso so cool too?
