For comparison purposes - The 1290 Superduke
180 hp, 106 foot-pounds of torque, 417 pounds....

One should also note that the "expensive" competition has abs and sophisticated traction control where the EBR SX does not. That actually sounds more like my kind of motorcycle, but for apples to apples comparison the EBR is less electronically sophisticated.

Now if I could only get over the ugly-assed headlight!

Hmmm, no ABS would be a deal-breaker for me on a bike like this.

Doesn't the RX already have multi-setting traction control though? I'd imagine it would be more cost effective for Buell to just use the same electronics package (the same way it was less expensive to use the RX engine in the SX with the same state of tune).

As for the headlight, there have been worse-looking Buells

Good points and I'm sure we will see both of these head-to-head soon. :D

I'm not a big fan of extra stuff that can go wrong on a bike, thus the simpler the better (K.I.S.S.) works for me, thus I would pass on ABS and a super uber traction control if offered... not to say those are thing not worth the price, but I'm just fine without them... $16k is till pricy for me, although I did offer that (all in) on a Fab Bob and the Fat Bob has no where near the tech (or power) either of these 2 have... lol.

I couldn't find the Superduke price, did you say it was $22k?

NOTES: A great turn out of a bike that's just released from EBR! With the 1190SX so close in specs to the 2015 KTM 1290 Superduke I'm sure we will see a head-to-head competition soon. You couldn't go wrong choosing either bike though. What a great time to be looking at high-end V-Twin bikes!

Next 2014 TMW Cool Wall bike is now up for voting on, have fun!!
