Ducati Scrambler isn’t just a bike, it’s a world...

The Classic is for riders who want 1970s styling and details plus the pure riding pleasure and practicality of a modern bike. With its metal mudguards, traditional plate holder, and spoked wheels (the same size as the alloy ones, 3 x 18 at the front and 5.5 x 17 at the rear) this is, perhaps, the version that embodies the essence of motorcycling more than any other. The Scrambler Classic logo is the one that most resembles its 1970s counterpart, perfectly matching the "Orange Sunshine" of the tank which, just like the original
Scrambler, features a central black stripe. Lastly, the retro flavour of the Scrambler Classic is enhanced even further by the lozenge-patterned stitching on the brown seat.

The Classic version is aimed at those who appreciate attention to detail and 1970s style, but who don’t want to compromise on riding pleasure and the functionality of a modern bike. It is characterised by unique, refined details, such as the aluminium front and rear mudguards, the spoke wheels and the brown seat with diamond-shaped inserts. In Orange Sunshine.

The wait is over at last. The Ducati Scrambler is finally out of the yellow container that has so jealously guarded it over the last few months and is now – after the previews granted to employees and Ducatisti at World Ducati Week 2014 - officially ready to be revealed to all enthusiasts. This is more than just a new bike: it’s a whole new world, one that expresses itself via a range of versions that provide a starting point for satisfying the different needs and wants of individual motorcyclists

Indeed it does look like a ... shall I coin the term? Retro UMJ? :)

But a really nice design. I was a little biased in choosing the Scrambler Classic as I thought the Classic looked the best, but the other 3 models are really nice too TBH.

Not sure why Ducati choose to bring out the Scrambler now, you would have thought they missed the boat on the naked-retro years ago, but it's nice to see a proper "naked" Ducati now that the Ducati Monsters looks "less naked" and more modern than ever before.

But I'm a little disappointed in Ducati's new "cheap" direction of double sided swing arms (not that this one should have one but..), and I would guess as there isn't much too the Scrambler it should be Ducati's cheapest model.

Wow, that was much longer of a post than I originally intended...lol.

nice looking bike, but the muffler is a bit too low down for a true scrambler.
Always ask why.

Funny enough as you mention it I noticed that as well... I guess it's not a "true scrambler" like the Triumph Scrambler, but something of a dual-scrambler... More road than dirt?

I think this will very likely be my next bike. Simple, basic, versatile, comfortable, looks like a lot of fun. Competent enough for the gravel/fire roads I enjoy riding. Could do with a high pipe option though, but I'll bet that'll be available soon.
