Flaunt Massive Bad Attitude and Mile-Devouring Function...

Shaped by countless hours of wind tunnel testing, the new frame-mounted Road Glide motorcycle fairing features a triple splitstream vent that significantly reduces head buffeting while still providing comfortable airflow around the rider. The brilliant white beams of the Dual Daymaker Reflector LED headlamp blasts through the murkiest of nights. Centered in the inner fairing is the color screen of a Boom! ™ Box 4.3 infotainment system controlled by twin joysticks located on a new swept-back handlebar that puts the rider in a commanding, comfortable position. A High Output Twin Cam 103™ V-Twin engine burbles through two chrome mufflers, its abundant torque always on tap with just a twist of the throttle. Touring features include One-Touch hard saddlebags, cruise control, easy-to-read gauges, adjustable air-ride rear suspension and new ergonomic hand controls with intuitive design and improved tactile feel.

The attitude and mile devouring ride that made the Road Glide motorcycle the choice of many, is back... now with more power, more function and a sleek, new menacing look. The 2015 Project Rushmore Road Glide and Road Glide Special.

Select premium features elevate the performance and style of the Road Glide from the base model. These enhancements include the premium Boom! Box 6.5GT infotainment system with touch screen and GPS navigation, Reflex Linked Brakes with ABS and hand- adjustable low-profile rear suspension. An exclusive gloss Black painted inner fairing (Denim fairing Black Denim models) and hand- applied pinstriping move the styling up a notch.

Road warriors, rejoice.

Except for the fairing...it looks good. I have never cared for that batwing fairing.

Has a nice look but I would be headed for the accessories store to get the wife on it. Need a better pillion seat and a back rest. I'd have to try that fairing to see how I like it. Cool.

Just cool here. Looks nice, but the fairing is tooo much for me. I wouldn't mind some comforts and such and a big road burner but this is too much. Also, at the price you would hope it can handle better or at least feel smother than say the 4K cheaper yamaha stratoliner. Road both (albeit just around the block) about 2 weeks ago and must say that the HD just has too much rumble for me to be comfy.

In my opinion, big bikes with big fairings are not cool. Thus, I voted uncool. That being said, I know that some people love these bikes for touring. So to be fair, it probably deserved a "MEH", but it still got an uncool from me since I couldn't bring myself to swing to the Cool side!

A great bike let down by an unattractive fairing. Although I have to argue that H-D's are getting a little porky in weight (this one being 850lbs) and just think we used to make fun of the Gold Wing for weighing a ton! Fairing+weight+price = sadly, uncool vote for me.

I gave it a cool. Yes the bike is heavy but I went to look at a gold wing once and was shocked at all the plastic on the bike. I agree that this fairing is not good looking. I have never liked this particular fairing style. I do feel Harley needs a major update of their engines to a modern liquid cooled dohc or some such engine. Still I would ride this bike a lot if it was mine it is a nice machine.

2015 Harley-Davidson Road Glide - Coolness Factor = 59.0%
Featured: July 17th, 2015 - July 24th 2015
Most popular vote category: Cool

Motorcycle Cool Wall discussion: viewtopic.php?f=61&t=51646
Total Motorcycle model page: http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/motorcyc ... dGlide.htm

our Coolness Factor of the 2015 Harley-Davidson Road Glide is:

Awesome (3 points) 27% [ 7 ]
Cool (2 points) 38% [ 10 ]
Uncool (1 point) 19% [ 5 ]
Fail (0 point) 15% [ 4 ]

Total votes: 26

= a Coolwall Factor of 70.2%

Notes: Harley-Davidson produces (and has produced) some of the most desirable rides on the planet. Did the get the new Road Glide right? A 59% Cool rating, which isn't bad is awful for any bike is for the big H-D. Surly at this price point with the full weight of the biggest R&D on the planet Harley-Davidson could make it at 80%... That said, it's a big ol' road burner and one that will eat up the miles without any effort. But there maybe better choices on the market...

Get excited as the next TMW Cool Wall bike is now up for voting and discussion, have fun!
