Notes: A shadow of Harley-Davidson's past. It goes to show how much Harley-Davidson has changed in the past 14 model years. Today's H-D's come with ABS, Fuel Injection, bigger engines, more custom designs and even liquid cooling now the 2001 Harley-Davidson FXSTBI Night Train is just dust in the wind. 2016 Harley-Davidson Softail Slim S Fat Custom - Coolness Factor = 73.1%

Your Coolness Factor of the 2016 Harley-Davidson Softail Slim S Fat Custom is:

Awesome (3 points) 46% [ 12 ]
Cool (2 points) 31% [ 8 ]
Uncool (1 point) 19% [ 5 ]
Fail (0 point) 4% [ 1 ]

Total votes: 26

= a Coolwall Factor of 73.1%

Notes: Lots of power, great custom looks, new Screamin' Eagle® Air-cooled, Twin Cam 110B engine and for just $3 or $4k more vs 100% more for a CVO model. I'm definitely thinking Harley-Davidson did a good thing by introducing the S Fat Custom line, hopefully they make it an option for all bikes in the future.

2016 Triumph Speed 94R - Coolness Factor = 72.7%

Most popular vote category: Cool

Motorcycle Cool Wall discussion: viewtopic.php?f=61&t=51979

Your Coolness Factor of the 2016 Triumph Speed 94R is:

Awesome (3 points) 36% [ 8 ]
Cool (2 points) 45% [ 10 ]
Uncool (1 point) 18% [ 4 ]
Fail (0 point) 0% [ 0 ]

Total votes: 22

= a Coolwall Factor of 72.7%

Notes: To use a Brittish term, it's a bit of (Heinz) Spotted Dick (google that). It's pretty good, everyone likes it but it's not exactly new and can be improved. We would all like to see Triumph return to the "retro/traditional" twin round headlights and would like to see the engine a little more refined. But the overall design of the bike is quintessential British and is lovely.

2016 Indian Chief Vintage - Coolness Factor = 81.0%

Motorcycle Cool Wall discussion: viewtopic.php?f=61&t=52025

Your Coolness Factor of the 2016 Indian Chief Vintage is:

Awesome (3 points) 50% 14 ]
Cool (2 points) 43% [ 12 ]
Uncool (1 point) 7% [ 2 ]
Fail (0 point) 0% [ 0 ]

Total votes: 28

= a Coolwall Factor of 81.0%

Notes: A truly spectacular result puts the new 2016 Indian Chief Vintage into the current 4th spot on the Cool Wall! Riders really like the new engine and the new Indian Motorcycle Company under Polaris. Indian will be very happy with this showing indeed! The other side of the coin the new Chief lost some votes on being a little too pricey and a little too "parade float like". What do you think?

2015 Ducati Diavel - Coolness Factor = 59.8%

Your Coolness Factor of the 2015 Ducati Diavel is:

Awesome (3 points) 32% 32% [ 11 ]
Cool (2 points) 35% 35% [ 12 ]
Uncool (1 point) 12% 12% [ 4 ]
Fail (0 point) 21% 21% [ 7 ]

Total votes : 34

= a Coolwall Factor of 59.8%

NOTES: A very interesting bike offered up by Ducati that many feel is the "red-headed stepchild in the attic". Did Ducati do enough to "revise it" and re-define it? Probably not. Is it a bad bike? Not really, it's purpose is a little muddy, it's design isn't really Ducati. The one thing that makes it cool is that it is different and the non-Ducati-Ducati.

2015 Hyosung GD250N - Coolness Factor = 41.7%
Featured: September 18th, 2015 - September 25th 2015
Most popular vote category: Uncool

Image

Motorcycle Cool Wall discussion: viewtopic.php?f=61&t=52070
Total Motorcycle model page: http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/motorcyc ... GD250N.htm

Your Coolness Factor of the 2015 Hyosung GD250N is:

Awesome (3 points) 5% [ 1 ]
Cool (2 points) 30% [ 6 ]
Uncool (1 point) 50% [ 10 ]
Fail (0 point) 15% [ 3 ]

Total votes: 20

= a Coolwall Factor of 41.7%

Notes: Sadly, some motorcycle model has to come dead last on the Cool Wall, and currently, that's the new 2016 Hyosung GD250N. And why is that? What makes a new model fail so badly in the eyes of riders everywhere? Surprisingly, it's not horsepower or weight. But the price. There are just too many good new and used bikes out there for around the same cost. Riders are willing to pick a new/used Honda CRF250, Honda CBR250R, Suzuki GW250, or a Kawawsaki Ninja 250 and that's an issue for the new GD250N.

2016 Can-Am Spyder F3T - Coolness Factor = 45.8%

Most popular vote category: Cool

Motorcycle Cool Wall discussion: viewtopic.php?f=61&t=52135

Your Coolness Factor of the 2016 Can-Am Spyder F3T is:

Cool (2 points) 33% [ 8 ]
Uncool (1 point) 21% [ 5 ]
Fail (0 point) 29% [ 7 ]

Total votes: 24

= a Coolwall Factor of 45.8%

Notes: The Can-Am Spyder... is it a motorcycle or a car? Does it have all the benefits or the drawbacks of both? Our readers and riders are confused as well. This is the 5th Can-Am Spyder that's been on our Cool Wall in the past 4 years, their average rating was 45.2%, so the new F3T gets a 45.8%... maybe the traction of three wheels just isn't enough to pull it up the Cool Wall?

2016 Cleveland CycleWerks Misfit Gen II - Coolness Factor = 52.8%

Your Coolness Factor of the 2016 Cleveland CycleWerks Misfit Gen II is:

Awesome (3 points) 13% [ 3 ]
Cool (2 points) 54% [ 13 ]
Uncool (1 point) 13% [ 3 ]
Fail (0 point) 21% [ 5 ]

Total votes: 24

= a Coolwall Factor of 52.8%

Notes: The result turned out to be very, "meh", but I think CCW will still be happy with a 52.8% vote. It's a "around $3k" Chinese bike competing in a world of world class manufacturer's and if you look at it that way, it's most likely the highest rated Chinese bike out there! The design is a amalgamation of every other manufacturer's design successes, which is sad, but in a way early manufacturers copied the designs of those more successful. (ie, Honda/Yamaha/Kawasaki in the late 70's early 80's copied the Harley look). So maybe this is just a repeat of a 40 year old record?
