Vinyl Seat Repair Question

#1 Unread post by safety-boy »

I have a small tear in the queen section of my regal seat. It is vinyl, and rather tight. Tried once to take needle and thread to it, but it was a bear to get the needle through, and looked like it would just rip out anyway.

Apart from duct tape, any ideas?

Thanks,
Dave
Don't think of it as a stop light. Think of it as a chance-to-show-off light.

I tried various types of vinyl repair kits on previous bikes and always ended up using good old duct tape. My bikes sat outside in the desert, so the seat vinyl would usually crack within a year or two. They make duct tape in colors now. A little bit a black tape will hardly be noticable on a black seat. The only other option that I know of is recovering.
