Ah, cheap beer. The drink of champions! And the dinner of good party goers everywhere! This unique concoction, made with the highest level of skill and purest of ingreedients that mankind can produce has been there for countless millions when their bank accounts and self-esteem were running low. It has been the catalyst for innumerable power hours, misconceived hookups, and reckless sprints to the bathroom. And so it is only fair that I step up and defend cheap beer by making this great Cheap Beer Guide to help you drink your way to the path of enlightenment.

 

What is Cheap Beer?

Cheap Beer is cheap inexpensive beer. Ok, seriously, cheap beer is the lowest cost regular priced beer on the shelf.

Why drink Cheap Beer?

Contrary to popular belief there is good tasting cheap beer! The fun is to try to find the best tasting one at a low low price. It is a gamble as you never know what you are going to get, but think of all the great bad beer stories you can tell your friends! Oh yes, why do you drink Cheap Beer? It is the fun and challenge of finding the GOOD STUFF at a low low price!

Uses for Cheap Beer (other than drinking it)

Sometimes you get unlucky and buy the BAD STUFF and like a carnie says "You pay your money and takes your chances". So what do you do with it if this happens to you?

Cheap Beer Uses 101:

- Beer Batter! Make goood ol' beer battered fish and chips! Everyone loves beer battered fish and chips! Plus no one will know you used cheap beer to make it!

- Give it to the guests when they come over! Few guests will complain about being offered a FREE ice cold beer on a hot day.. fewer still will complain how bad it tastes. But now you are in the "good books" by giving your friends free beer. Lucky for you when you come over to their home they will have much better beer than you!

- Make a shandy. Another cheapo concoction popular in the 70's. Mix beer and pop together and you have a drinkable fun drink! OR just add more alcohol to it like flavoured rum!

Ginger Beer Shandy recipe:

Scale ingredients to servings
12 oz chilled Ale
4 oz Ginger Beer

Pour the ginger beer into a beer pilsner or beer mug. Carefully add the ale, or lager, and serve.

Beer 'n Limon recipe:

Scale ingredients to servings
1 oz Bacardi Limon
1 bottle Corona Lager

Pour the beer into a frozen glass mug. Add Bacardi, stir, and serve.
