2012 Suzuki DR-Z125 Review

The DR-Z125 has aggressive styling inspired by Suzuki’s championship-winning RM-Z motocross bikes, including sharp-looking fenders, number plates and frame covers. It rewards you with agile responsiveness and a strong, controllable powerband.

Rev up. When you’ve got a DR-Z, the whole world looks a little different. You start seeing whoops, jumps, and washboards everywhere you look. Even a rainy day just means more mud to play in.

Good looks and great handling — that’s what the DR-Z125 and DR-Z125L are all about.
Both bikes feature aggressive bodywork that makes them stylistic replicas of the championship-winning RM-Z machines. Their performance virtues, though, go a lot deeper than that. Both bikes set the class standard for precise, agile handling.

Beginning and more experienced riders will appreciate their controllable powerband and strong low-end and mid-range power. And larger riders can choose the DR-Z125L, featuring larger wheels and a front disc brake.

The DR-Z125 and DR-Z125L — race inspired styling with performance to match.

Serious Dose of Fun

The Suzuki DR-Z125 joins its larger wheel stable-mate, the DR-Z125L, with the small wheel providing a lower seat height for progressing riders wanting more power.

Like the DR-Z125L, the high performance Suzuki DR-Z125 introduces a serious dose of fun into every rider’s first taste of the off-road trail. Advanced technology from top to bottom with a host of high-grade components inspired by Suzuki’s motocross machines.

At its heart, a 4-stroke, 124cc power pack built to deliver tractable, accessible power, so riding’s as easy as possible. And smooth. The frame and swingarm have been created for ample rigidity and light weight, to produce a compact, perfectly proportioned off-road riding package. Easy on the eye as well. The fuel tank and frame covers are inspired from Suzuki’s state-of-the-art off-roader the DR-Z400E.

The DR-Z125. Let a lifetime of off-road riding begin.
