2007 BMW R1200GS

Where you’re going, there are no zip codes.

The R 1200 GS answers the call of the wild with a 100 blazing horses. The Boxer engine also produces 85 lb/ft of torque, giving it serious grunt as well. The Telelever front suspension keeps road rides smooth and a reliable shaft drive means your odometer will spin around like a slot machine. Whether it’s bombing down fire roads or ripping around the twisties and snacking on unsuspecting sport bikes, one thing’s for sure: the R 1200 GS devours any road you throw at it.

26 years ago, BMW Motorrad created the travel Enduro segment and since then has stood alone as its leader. But now it’s time to raise the bar – with the BMW R1200GS. Following the tradition of its forebears, this is the optimum motorbike for off-road and on-road use. It also heralds a completely new era of dynamic performance. The BMW R1200GS has some significant differences compared to the previous model: weight has been reduced by an appreciable 12% in conjunction with an increase in engine power of 15%. The bike delivers an impressive performance off-road with precision power control and outstanding agility on the asphalt. These and a host of other developments such as the new BMS-K engine electronics, single wire system and info flatscreen set new standards for the best BMW travel Enduro. On this motorbike you can reach the most isolated places on Earth. But its flexibility extends beyond the location of use to its appearance. As well as four paintwork options, there are two colour options each for the side cover and seat. Thus there are 16 different combination options.

Twenty-five years ago, BMW Motorrad invented the touring enduro category. In the tradition of its predecessors, the BMW R 1200 GS is the standard against which all others in its class are judged. Thanks to its powerful boxer engine, low weight and excellent suspension, its precision-controlled power off-road is as impressive as its amazing agility on the road. In light of this, this bike is rightfully considered the best BMW touring enduro of all time, one which is capable of journeying to the farthest corners of the globe. However, the R 1200 GS is not only flexible in terms of where it can go, but also in terms of how it looks. In addition to a selection of four paint colours on the bike itself, buyers can also choose between two colours each for both the side cover and the seat, thus allowing for a total of 16 different colour combinations.
