• Michelin Pilot Power

The Michelin PILOT POWER is a high performance oriented tire for the sport riding enthusiast. The PILOT POWER uses compounding and construction techniques straight from race tires used in Moto GP. Despite being the softest tire in its category, it does not sacrifice wear. It also provides excellent grip in wet and dry conditions. Great grip and long wear are the result of the tire's ultra-fine silica, new additives and synthetic elastomers.

- Phenomenal grip; quickly reaches optimum temperature
- Maximum lean angle in the dry: 50.6°
- Rubber mix remains soft even at lower temperatures, providing excellent grip throughout your ride.

Michelin Pilot Power is the first production tire to benefit from a rubber compound formula specific to competition tires: C-RAO (Compounds-RAcing Optimisation). The grip properties of the Michelin Pilot Power rubber compound, and in particular its quick warm-up time, result essentially from a combination of three 100% synthetic components, identical to those used for MotoGP tires.

The new profile of the front Michelin Pilot Power, derived from the MotoGP, as well as its casing and specific rubber compounds has led to considerable progress in terms of handling, high-speed stability and wet and dry grip. Research conducted in the arena of MotoGP has led to new developments in terms of profiles. The more pointed profile of the front of the Michelin Pilot Power (halfway between the Michelin Pilot Sport and a MotoGP tire) increases the ground-tire contact area. Its casing construction 75° /75° /0° - consists of two casing plies at 75° and a 0° belt. This contributes to improved feel and improves its anti-shimmy capabilities The new profile of the rear Michelin Pilot Power with its casing construction 90° /90° /0° consists of two casing plies at 90° and a 0° aramid belt which guarantees maximum feel. This reduces the tire's reaction to road camber changes and improves stability at high speeds. The new Michelin Pilot Power's, derived from the MotoGP, specific rubber compounds have led to considerable progress in terms of handling, high-speed stability and wet and dry grip.

Rubber mix remains soft even at lower temperatures, providing excellent grip throughout your ride.

You don't have to be world champion to get your hands on Michelin MotoGP tyre technology. The Pilot Power uses a rubber mix that was originally developed for MotoGP racing, yielding minimal warm-up time and excellent feedback at the limit. This amazing tyre has achieved a maximum lean angle of more than 50 degrees on dry pavement and a remarkable 41.9 degrees in the wet.

TECHNICAL

- New rubber mix derived from MotoGP tyre development.

- This softer rubber was developed to preserve tyre performance even at advanced stages of wear.

- The rubber remains soft at lower temperatures for excellent grip throughout every stage of a ride.

- Tread grooves cover less than 12% of the tyre surface, maximizing the contact patch.
