There are products that come along that are really cool; once in a while, a product comes along that is revolutionary.

Total Motorcycle GoPro HD Hero 720p 60fps (1280×720 (16:9)) review video

720p = 1280×720 pixels (16:9), 60 fps, 15 Mbit/s data rate.

– Ultra Wide HD featuring a 170º angle of view, both 30 and 60 fps, 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio.
– 16:9 HD Video
– 720p (1280 x 720)
– 60 fps NTSC / 50 fps PAL
– When mounting on vehicles or gear, when a very wide angle is desired but vertical viewing area is not as important. Ultra slow motion playback capable.

Overall I wasn’t impressed with the file size (very large) but the wide angle of view provided by the 720p = 1280×720 pixels (16:9) resolution on the GoPro HD Hero was outstanding. With 60fps the smoothness of the video was outstanding and it did give a nice feeling of “speed” to it. I really liked the sharpness of the imagine and felt the details both in the forground and background were very acceptable, you could even read car licence plates and store signs.

I could see the 720p = 1280×720 pixels (16:9) mode being used when you really want the best of all words, video smoothness, sharpness and a high resolution. The downside is file size and on a 8 GB SD card you might expect just 1 hours worth of video.

This is the chosen video mode by Total Motorcycle out of all 5 of them as the best.
