Total Motorcycle is pleased to announce our coverage of the 2004 Calgary Motorcycle Show this year. We will be bringing you the latest new bike photos, industry news, inside information, tips as well as any rumors we hear.
The Calgary Motorcycle Show is now in it's 3rd great year. We have been there since the 1st one and last year's (2nd) was even bigger and better. So hopes are high that the 3rd year will surpass the first two years, if that is possible.
UPDATE: We have been invited to a very special media MX presentation and will be bringing you up close and personal photos just as if you were there!
The Calgary Motorcycle Show will feature an exhilarating freestyle motocross (MX) demonstration presented by Kawasaki.
It's confirmed! 3 Time Canadian Motocross Champion Jean Sebastien Roy will be at the Motorcycle Show all weekend:
Freestyle MX is a fast-paced sport where riders launch themselves off ramps
while performing acrobatic tricks, such as the "Kiss of Death",
a trick where riders 'kiss' the front fender of their bikes while in the air.
The freestyle demonstration headliner is Team Outlaw rider Kris Garwasiuk,
Canada's first professional MX Freestyler and the only Canadian in the sport
featured in a video game, Championship Motocross by THQ.
Major Manufacturers Show Off the Newest 2004 Bikes, ATVs and Scooters
The Calgary Motorcycle Show also features the newest 2004 bikes from all major manufacturers. Examples of the new bikes on display include the Triumph Rocket III, the BMW R1150R Rockster, the Kawasaki ZX-10R, the Honda CBR 1000RR, the Suzuki GSX-R600, the Harley-Davidson FLHRS/I Road King Custom, the Yamaha R1 and the 950 Adventure from KTM.
Balance and Precision Demonstrated by Trials Riders
Ryon Bell, the two-time Standing Canadian National Champion Trials Rider-a popular sport involving traversing a timed obstacle course at slow speed on a motorcycle-demonstrates trials riding in the Corral prior to freestyle motocross exhibitions.
Vintage Classics, Post Modern and Modern Classics Motorcycles
Approximately 40 vintage motorcycles, classified as machines that are 25
years old or more, are on display at the Calgary Motorcycle Show. Japanese
bikes are becoming more collectible, from the 1960s and 1970s," he says.
There are three categories of vintage bikes; Vintage Classics are the oldest,
from the late 1800s and early 1900s. Post Modern Classics are from the 1960s
and '70s and Modern Classics are from '80s. All three types of are at the
show, and those on display include Indian models form the 1890s to the 1950s,
British Triumphs, and Suzuki and Yamaha bikes. There will also be a 1951 Whizzer,
which resembles a bicycle with a clip on 132cc engine, which may tug at the
nostalgic heart-strings of Baby Boomers.
Fashion Shows: Useful Styles for Bikers and Mainstream Fashion Followers
Parts Canada features the newest motorcycle, ATV and scooter wear, from stylish safety jackets to boots, sunglasses and mainstream clothing for those who like the biker look.
Bike Rides for Tykes
Kids can enjoy the thrill of the ride at the kids' electric bike riding area, operated by the Calgary Safety Council. Rides take place throughout the show.

The Calgary Motorcycle Show celebrates its 3rd annual event-the largest annual
industry gathering in Calgary featuring the newest 2004 bikes, ATVs and accessories.
Major manufacturers, more than 125 exhibitors, dealers and local experts offer
the latest information and trends that have anything and everything to do
with motorcycles and ATVs.
The Calgary Motorcycle Show is presented by MMIC (Motorcycle and Moped Industry
Council), a national non?profit industry association that represents the major
manufacturers and distributors of motorcycles and mopeds in Canada.
