Total Motorcycle.com press coverage of the Calgary Motorcycle Show
Total Motorcycle is pleased to announce our annual coverage of the 2005 Calgary Motorcycle Show again this year. We will be bringing you the latest new bike photos, industry news, inside information, tips as well as any rumors we hear.
The Calgary Motorcycle Show is now in it's 4th great year. We have been there since the 1st one and last year's (2nd) was even bigger and better. So hopes are high that the 3rd year will surpass the first two years, if that is possible.
The Calgary Motorcycle Show will feature an exhilarating freestyle motocross (MX) demonstration presented by Kawasaki.
There is plenty of action to take in over the course of the weekend. The Alberta Mini Road Racing Association will be running the first ever demonstration road-race of its kind in Canada at the Calgary Motorcycle Show. The action will highlight all classes of bikes starting with the 50cc bikes for the beginner and youths up to the intimidating formula 80 bikes ridden by some of the most seasoned vets. The largest and most popular class, the "Thunder Class" will be featured with up to 30 riders competing over the weekend. In addition the 8-10 year olds will have an opportunity to show their stuff on the track. Some of the more notable racers include, Clint McBain, the 2002 Canadian 600cc National Champion, Chuck Downey an AMA national series top ten finisher and local ace Peter Holzinger. On Sunday afternoon the excitement peaks with the finals at 3:30 pm.
If speed isn't what drives you then the Alberta Trials Riders Association Demonstrations may be more up your alley. These men and women will demonstrate their trials skills on a number of obstacles, varying in size, shape and height including a teeter totter, ramps and the "A" frame.
To round off the action at the 2005 Calgary Motorcycle Show, Canadian Kawasaki
is bringing back Team Outlaw and the MX Freestyle. This extreme sport pushes
the limits in every respect. Reagan Sieg the current Canadian Champion will
be participating, as well as Kris Garwasiuk, Drew Cooper and Mike McGaw..
These guys have perfected tricks such as the "Kiss of Death", "Rock
Solid" and "Cliff Hangar". The high-flying action is sure to
be a show stopper.
