its not sandblasting thats the biggest problem. living in arizona and having a car thats been in az for most of its life i see the real effects of the sun. my paint is rubbing off to the touch now. wax will help prevent that i am told(noone told the previous owner i guess).

Also, it sounds like comfort is a high-priority on your list, that sounds practical. The fact is, hyper bikes like the Hyabusa and ZX-12 arent that comfortable either. Look how the riders have to hunch forward. That will get uncomfortable quick.

well the busa is supposed to be pretty comfortable ...

all other issues aside, if you think your going to finance a 13000$ motorcycle then actually afford the insurance you might want to call a local insurance person and just utter the words 'hayabusa' and 'loan', see how fast you hang the phone up honestly. not to mention tires every what 4000 miles ...

One thing is certain. The higher your skill level, the better prepared you are for any possible situation. So, ride often, and practice your necessary skills frequently. Use a parking lot after, or before business hours. Set up cones, tennis balls cut in half, whatever. Have fun getting good at ...
