Re: 06 Suzuki M50 with 38k miles: good deal or terrible deal

I have an '06 C50 with 20K miles. These bikes are made to ride and I don't think the miles are an issue. I agree with woooopa that it woud be a good idea to have it checked out by a good mechanic. The price seems good. Did he say why he is selling? If he is in financial struggle, he may just be ...

Re: What happens if your tires blow on the road?

I had a rear blowout going about 50mph and was fortunate to keep it under control to the shoulder. Many have said that you don't use your brakes but the truth is that you can softly apply the brake opposite the blowout (i.e.-front brake for a rear blowout and vice versa). It's hard to think that ...

Re: Do you like your drivers backrest?

I got a driver's backrest for the same reason-back pain after longer rides. I must say that it has been one of the best investments I have made for the bike. Back pain is gone and it makes using the cruise pegs so much more enjoyable. I ordered mine from grasshopperltd.com for around $90. I would ...

It never hurts to ask

I do a lot of research online for the lowest price and best quality. If I can find the same product at my local bike shop but the price is a lot higher I tell them that I can buy it online for less (plus no sales tax or shipping charge in most cases) and ask if they can match the price. This gives ...

Keep at it!

Sorry you had such a hard time at the eval but I admire your spirit and determination. You have a great attitude and I'm sure you'll get it next time. I hope they have room for you in the class. Don't give up because riding is the greatest! The sense of freedom you have while out on the road is a ...

What a shame!

It's too bad that you had such a terrible experience with the class. My son and I took it last year and it was awesome. Most fun I'd had in a long while. Hopefully you'll make up for it by having a great riding career. Stay safe and enjoy!

Have a great time

My son and I took the class last year and it was the most fun we'd had for a long time. I'm sure you'll enjoy it as well. Ride safe and I hope you have many years of two-wheel thrills.

C50 is a good choice

I am also a relatively new rider and I bought a 2006 C50 for my first bike. I absolutely LOVE it. It has great balance, a very managable dry weight at 542 lb, and beautiful lines. I did take the MSF safety class before I started to ride and I would reccomend that as well. If the C50 is what you want ...

Bet it's cold there.

Hey, I grew up in Buffalo and I do miss it sometimes. I lived in Cheektowaga and graduated from Depew H.S. What area are you from?

What's up, everyone?

Hello, all. I just joined your site and I wanted to say hello. My name is Tim and I've only been riding for about a year now. I bought a 2006 Suzuki C50 last March and have loved every minute on it. I can't wait until the warmer weather gets here. I live in Western North Carolina and the mountain ...
