well, Im not gonna be the most useful response, but ill try to at least serve some purpose.

As far as maintenance, some depends on how you run the bike and if you can do simple tasks on your own. Dealerships do charge pretty high labor rates... its about 80 an hour here.

Hooray haha :laughing: I found a deal on a nice used '01 f4i that I just couldnt pass up! It seems to have some problems for sure, but I love it so far!

Its a much heavier I-4 650..... doesnt seem to fit a good noob bike profile to me. I could be wrong though, please do let me know if I am but I have NO idea who this bike is marketed to

and just to elaborate..... theres is a world of difference from an I-4 and a V-twin in throttle twitchiness, I just moved up from a 250, and can tell you that for sure the "sleeper power" is there, and more than willing to scare you from time to time.

its a nice walkthrough that answered a lot of things when I was working on my bike, not a full blown service manual, but closest I found.

I totally understand how its comfortable to leave your foot under the lever, I do and its nice. But I've had a few moments where I did have my foot positioned like that and took some real tight lefts that scared me wondering if I was going to feel the toe of my boot grind. That got me to position ...

its honestly fast enough to get you in plenty of trouble as it is..... thats what I realized on mine.

The only thing thats been giving me the burn to upgrade is the looks and sound, and those really arent so important as they seem. Sound could be changed with an exhaust, but if you find any good ...

Also, if you speedo is reading 165 and is off by 10%, your old man would of still of going 150 MPH (claimed), is an R6 even capable of that sort of performance?
