Re: What's your good side

I like cornering to the right side. I guess this is because i'm used to the jughandles and highway ramps going almost always to the right in NJ

Re: Facebook and National Powersports Distributors

Just FYI, revisiting the DDM Tuning subject, their HIDs are awesome. I have a 55W in my V-Rod. Lights up the road like day.

And even better, it's an easy install.

Same issue for me. It doesn't read while in any of my pockets. Best bet is to mount it on the bike somewhere.

Re: conversion 883 cc to 1200cc sportster

you're better off going to xlforum.net for this. The 1200 conversion is fairly common. If youve never truly ridden a street bike, I concur that the 1200 will be a bit much. Very torquey.

Re: ape hangers handelbars

my best friend's dad has apes on his roadking...he's more comfortable with his hands in front of his shoulders than the position he was in with the beach comber bars.

Why does it matter what bars people are riding with?

Re: Man this hurts!

Happy bike day! Yeah it takes some time to get used to it, you can also start off with your wrist a bit higher so that when you're cruising you are leaning straight on it. The other thing you should try is squeezing the tank with your knees. It helps a TON. Congrats on the bike! Wrider's advice wit...

Re: New bike seat I would love to have.

There are some overly critical people on this forum. What ever happened to ride what you enjoy riding? Wrong forum mate. It's dodo. Can I say that? The brown stuff from one's bottom. Can I say that? C-rap. I don't know how to interpret that man. haha sorry. I actually like this forum because you ha...

Re: So I went to the Harley Dealers yesterday and ..........

Wasn't there a Sportster that had a 4 gallon tank which was a tear drop instead of the peanut version? Besides the Sportster got around 50 - 55 MPG which still made long distance doable even on the 3 gallon tank, at least when you consider sports bikes tend to have a 160 mile range average. The Roa...

Re: High_Sides Trips and Pics

Dear High_Side, Please go touring and take pictures. Too many letters and words, not enough riding pictures to fuel my day dreams of the road while at the office. Will do. The days are counting down until I'm blasting off at the end of June for a solo tour. Where? I have no idea, and that's the bes...

Re: Buell XB line

Jaskc I have a feeling that coming off that R1, you'd feel the XB is a pig. If you're looking to get a Buell, best bang for buck is the 1125. Wrider is correct in that some dealerships are refusing to work on Buells now. Some are but at terrible customer service. Some dealerships offer quality servi...

Re: 106% Increase in Motorcycle Registration Fee

Something weird with this. I bought my FZ6 a couple of months ago and paid $65, and now it is due again (for another $65 in July). I just don't understand. I got nailed like this for my Suzuki last year, too. Did you transfer your plate over from the B-King? I transferred the plate from my sportste...

Re: What is my bike worth?

NADA and KBB gives you a good idea of value (dealerships generally use these for trade-ins). Good resource is eBay and Craigslist. If you see something on Craigslist for months at a certain price, you know that's too high for that particular bike. If you see bikes on eBay that don't get any bids, yo...
