You potentially have a lot of resources right in your MSF clas. The instructors and some of the other riders in the class very well may know a good mechanic to recommend to you in the area. When I first bought my bike ( new from a dealer) I had my brother-in-laww, a very experienced rider, ride it h...

Re: motorcycle insurance?

btw. i still didn't get my motorcycle permit but was wondering do i need motorcycle safety course to get a motorcycle permit? I have a California licensed card No, usually, it's the other way around. A permit allows you to take the course, and in most cases, the course allows you to get your license.

Because that wouldn't incapacitate the rider and they'd be back where they started. They wanted HIM out, heck with the bike.

I like a nice shiny bike and so far, Crystal Glo has worked great for me. Because it's not a wax, you can use it on pretty much every type of surface on your bike. There's no annoying "wax dust" left on your bike and it's super easy to use.

You know what? Get over it already. You didn't get a ticket. As stated before, in your area you're likely to get stopped because of the huge numbers of unlicensed riders. So your fellow riders share in the responsability of you getting stopped. The reason it took so long to officially pull you over ...

2 points here about "the box"..... Big head turn. Just before going into the turn, turn your head and focus on where you want to end up. You'll be surprised at how much that helps. Your body will naturally do what it needs to to get you there..if you just let it. Also, don't get too hung up on the b...

That was pretty risky. Knowing that there was even a possibility the engine would suddenly cut out, I would not have taken it out in 70mph highway traffic before having it looked at or fixed.

You were lucky you didn't become a hood ornament.

You can't go into a car dealer and drive a car off the lot without a driver's license, but you can go into a motorcycle shop and (attempt to) ride a motorcycle off the lot with absolute zero experience. In what state can't you buy a car without a license? If that's the case in your state (doubtful)...

Its amazing how people can be so ignorant. Trying to teach yourself to ride, with zero experiance, on a race bike on the way home from the dealership? Thats one of the craziest things ive ever heard. The sales guy who sold him that infernal machine should be ashamed of himself. I think the US shoul...

On a side note....Apparently, there are millions of people in this country that have a poor credit history, which, contrary to what some here may think, is much worse and detrimental than no credit history. I'm willing to bet that a majority of those people thought the same thing I'm reading here.....

While I believe you do need to establish a good credit history in this day & age, I personally would not put myself in debt for something that is, after all, a hobby. You say that like it's not a vitally important thing! Hey, if life's a painting, hobbies are the color betwen the lines. No, ...

I'm not buying it. It would seem to me that a manufacturer that would knowingly and intentionally set the speedometer inaccurately (fast or slow) would open themselves up tp all kinds of legal problems and lawsuits. It doesn't make any sense for them to do it....theres nothing for them to gain and q...
