-crack the faceshield just barely.
-blow your breath down across your chin instead of breathing out normally.
-breathe slowly.

Full face. If I had been wearing a 3/4 or less I'd have lost teeth at the LEAST. Instead I just got a nasty bruise across half my jaw that disappeared after a few days.

A fall is a fall. Fall off a sportbike, cruiser, out of a car... the ground doesn't care where you came from.

I would but I can't keep the earbuds in when I pull the helmet on. They just pop right out.

About the leaning and cornering... it does help. I've tried it, keeping my body upright through a turn and then doing the same turn at the same speed but leaning with it. I scraped the peg on the upright run. I've also found with a passenger it's harder to corner when she's trying to fight the lean ...

That's a bummer. But hey, you're still alive, and (more importantly ) your bike is still alive, so go back out and own that corner! It's the only way to make things right again.
