I called another Yamaha dealer in the area and they said the exact same thing.

Hey so I don't know if this is bad but when I rev my engine, the LCD background gets brighter with the revs and so does the headlights..

Not really dude, that just means your Alt. / Charging system is working properly. :wink: Increasing rpm,s more current = brighter lights :)

It might be your Control module . breaking down when the bike is hot, and then running fine after cooling down a bit is the first sign they are goin bad.
Easiest way to check is if you have a friend with the same bike, switch em out and see what happens. :?

That's a good way to have two bad ECU's ...

It might be your Control module . breaking down when the bike is hot, and then running fine after cooling down a bit is the first sign they are goin bad.
Easiest way to check is if you have a friend with the same bike, switch em out and see what happens. :?

I would agree that your battery is shot, but if you just gotta be sure, yank it out and go to your nearest Auto Parts store where they will test it for you. Probably free of charge :wink:
