Still confusing
Why would the alternator not keep the bike running once started even if the battery is dead.
PS I have a Katana, this is my roommates bike, the GSXR that is having problems.

got a 2006 gsxr600, battery died on me when I left the safety light on, recharged it, rode for a while then left it on again. Batter died for a second time.
