Re: OH MY !!!!

I've always wanted to give a KTM a try. I'm just a sucker for orange ofc. But it's good to know they are making great bikes!

Re: Ducati encouraging MSF classes

Yeah the dealership classes are almost always more expensive but they have to use the same format because the state requires certain skills to be mastered for them to give you that ticket to take to the DMV saying "I can ride!"

Re: I rode my motorcycle today...

Twisties are my favorite thing. Sadly here in Northern Jersey riding is just becoming less and less fun as it seems to be getting more and more populated.

I have to ride for almost an hour just to get to some decent roads!

Re: The wave

I wave at everyone as well. There is one guy in my neighborhood who does not wave back.

I pretend that his hands are glued to his motorcycle and he can't take them off because otherwise he'll fall.

Ducati encouraging MSF classes

http://www.ducatiusa.com/new-rider-incentive-program.do $300 rebate on purchase of 696 or 796 (read: not the sport bikes) While I still don't think a 696 should be your first bike. At least now Ducati is trying to offer people incentives to take an MSF class before you do it. I don't know how much y...

Re: Something that should outrage all motorcyclists!

Here here BrumBear local government is the worse. I got a ticket for having garbage in bags on my property even after explaining to the man who wrote me the ticket that the garbage company keeps leaving the bags on the curb even though they are supposed to take them on bulk day. He tells me "that's ...

Re: BC lady kills rider, gets one day in jail

The worst thing of all is that even here in the states we NEVER revoke licences. I've been in court for my fair share of BS (revenue increasing) tickets. The judge will say "doing 80 in a 25? what is the hell is wrong with you? Well I won't take away your license since you need it to work but SLOW D...

Something that should outrage all motorcyclists!

http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=bd0_1362175159 A motorcyclist is afraid a car trying to change lanes doesn't see him so he stops and gets rear ended BY A COP! Then the cop blames the rider and threatens him with a summons! I have several friends who are on the force and I have to say this guy was a d...

Re: Looking to get into motorcycling

IMO always get a Fuel Injected bike. The Ethanol they are putting in gas (at least here in America) ruins the pilot jets on non-FI bikes. My Ninja 250 which I had for less than a year suffered from that problem.

Re: help me decide. should i still insure my bike comprehens

I thought sometimes though an insurance company can just "total" your bike if they don't want to pay the high cost of repairs. They can, but there is a limit. Usually it takes 70% of the actual value of the vehicle including parts and labor. That makes sense but that's also part of my point. If his...

Re: help me decide. should i still insure my bike comprehens

Comprehensive covers all those things NOT covered by collision, If you're at fault and you're in a collision, your bike is covered it may affect your premiums, but you're covered. A guy parks next to you so close he can't get out of his car, so he opens up the window, gives the bike a shove and now...

Hot Weather Jacket advice

Hey All, So I have had two jackets since I've started riding basically. One is a leather for the colder weather, the other is a Leather/Textile Mix for the warmer weather. Since I've moved it takes me considerable more time to get to an area where I can ride around at speeds where I get a nice enoug...
