The VLX 600 I just bought for my Wife does the same thing. When I hit 50 mph the bike starts whistling.

I just bought the same bike today for my Wife. On the way home I heard the same whistling sound. I have no idea what it was either. Also, the front breaks when applied sound like a Cicada. It's a very fast ticking sound.

Keep in mind the class is set up to assume you know "nothing" about motorcycles and riding. So, if this is you, go buy a bike, take it to the DMV, and try to pass the driving test. Then, humbly call and sign up for the MSF class. I rode dirt and street bikes for over 15 years 25 years ago, bought a ...

Even after T.O. missed the extra point, I knew the Cowboys would still win. I bet my wife our life savings that it would finish just like it did. Cowboys are the luckiest team ever.

Why are you comparing a 1200 to a 750? Wouldn't a Honda 1100 or 1300 be a better comparison? I'm not saying you should go with one or the other, however. If you're looking at the 750's like I was 2 months ago, you owe it to yourself to look at the Suzuki C50 805cc bikes. That's the one I opted for, ...

We all have to decide how much risk we are willing to take. Some (my mother) would argue riding, no matter how dressed, makes YOU an "asshat."

I still haven't heard back from HJC via email. Anyone know if this helmet will work with eyeglasses?

I don't know. By the time I dig that device out from my bag and place it on the nozzle, I could have filled the tank. Then after filling I'd have to remove it and put it back in the bag. Then in that time I could have the bike started and be on my way. I'll stick with the conventional method. Then,...
