I was looking into Honda Shadow 583cc or the Yamaha Virago 535 cc. My question is can a 5'2, 105 lbs can handle a bike this size?
Can you dead lift one of these from the ground if it's fallen over? No. But neither can I (6'1" 235 lbs), without using the "back to the bike, butt & legs" technique ...

What do you mean... (can't speak to the Shadow) Do you prefer the Yamaha over the Shadow? It your personal opinion and any feed back is fine with me.

Well, I took the Motorcycle training class and passed it on the 14th of September and passed my DMV written test today. I am so happy. Now after deciding what I want... which is a cruiser. Oddly enough, I just sat on an '82 (or 80-something) virago 650 earlier today. One of our friends had just finished restoring it and brought it over to show it off, it only had 7,000 miles on it and looked beautiful for being so old. Not a bad find for $750 ...

If you're not looking to get a new bike right away, there are a lot of 750 - 1100 Viragos out there still. ( I just sold my 1100 this last spring.) Look at all the cruiser lines, go to your local dealers and sit on bikes, not for a minute, but several minutes or how ever long it takes to help you ...
