Don't just ride a bike, KNOW how a bike works

I'm disgusted with folks who want to have a bike and not do what it takes to keep it on the road. I'm fed up with folks who plead they don't have a lot to spend, buy an older bike because it's so much cheaper, and then a month later bemoan that it won't start, without trying to learn what's wrong or...

Re: Starts fine, idles high, then dies

The best I can see is to look up the part numbers for those o-rings and washers on a site like Kawasaki.com --> owners info --> parts diagrams. Copy/paste that number into ebay or tell it to your local dealership, get a new set. I found the 90-degree screwdriver for a better price on Ebay but I do n...

Re: spray painting a helmet?

The same paint that made the helmet in the first place is what is in the re-painting. Mind, you want to tape off the openings at the neck and face shield, just use masking tape and newspaper to make a barrier. Not hard. You'll sand the helmet with 400 grit wet/dry sandpaper with a little soapy water...

Re: Ladies - Found Flat Spots on Front Rim

It's a Virago 250. A used straight wheel from Ebay is going to be your best bet.

That, and no more curb jumping! :?

Re: Cruiser Saddle bags & bracket help!!!!!!!

Davie you pretty much got it. The bars for the saddlebags do both: they stop the bags from moving out away from the bike and more importantly, they keep the bags from rubbing on the wheel and shocks, and from getting pulled up under the rear wheel. (You just tie a cord from the bag to the bar to kee...

All noted...thank you.

I wonder if I shouldn't break the carbs down off the rack and swap 'em, then I'd know FOR SURE before I yank the head back off.

I'm not sure if I've done this right, but here is a video from the camera. You can't hear the carb puffing and hissing, but you can hear the motor missing. Each time is misses, the left carb puffs simultaneously. http://s195.photobucket.com/albums/z41/coffee_brake/kz440%20carbs/?action=view&curr...
