Wow, that is pretty neat! I did not know you could plan a trip like that on Google maps. I have always either programmed in the to and from or the GPS coordinates. Pretty cool. I will have to go and check that out for a trip we are planning this summer! Good job and I'm jealous!! Soon, soon. Couple ...

Well, that's a keeper of a picture if I've ever seen one, NICE! You could make that into a poster and put some kind of phrase across it.....hmmm...."How much did you say it cost?" or definitely something better than that, but you get the idea!!

Hmmm...I went and checked out the Cameleon apparel and I was a little intrigued until I saw the price. Little spendy, but not quite out of reach. It would interesting to see how well it works or how well it feels like it may work! ;) I too, wear chaps and jeans or leather pants and sometimes, leathe...

Well, it's usually not the cold that stops us as what comes with it....snow. As soon as snow hits, which is at 30 degrees and colder, that's when we stop. We have ridden in 27 degree weather and some of us colder, but again, it's the road conditions. Besides, much colder and you need to winterize yo...

Uggh...not enough. Our riding season is from about mid-April to mid-September, sometimes October, but it would be pretty chilly. I have heated gear from head to toe and I'm not afraid to use it!! :cold: Yes, she's down in the garage with the "big boy" all tucked away under their covers, waiting, ant...

:happybikeday: Congrats on the new Kawi!! I have the Vulcan 900, am 5'3'' and love it. As far as your earlier post re: different bikes riding together, in the chapter I belong to, someone is always riding with someone else and at least once a week during the riding season, there are between 7 and 21...

My husband was disconcerted when he found out I had named our bike, "Sugar", since it's a little short on manliness . . . so we agreed I would refer to it as "Bubba" . . . and then I started posting here and there was a guy who called himself Bubba. After reading his posts, it tainted the name for ...

Woman to woman..

I too, have had this happen to me, enough to where I now don't do that. Not saying there isn't times that I don't WANT to, but being a woman on a motorcycle on a lonely stretch of road can get you in a hairy situation. In Alaska, you can be in that situation 5 miles out of town. I have learned to in...

That's a good idea! Also, in looking at other sites, an on site mechanic and availability to tools and a place to work on bikes... Thanks! Hmm, that is probably all it allows....didn't thinkg about that. Just let me know I guess, if you want to, which preferences you would prefer in ratings of 1 and...

Motorcycle B & B

Some of us are beginning to seriously look at a Motorcycle B & B. There would also be an MSF track on the same property and we are looking at some ideas. One of them being an enclosed place to pull your bike into to get in out of the weather and let things dry out if need be or just re-pack everythi...

I was taught to ride a mini bike before even a bicycle. LOL! I rode up until I graduated HS, street and trail. Took about a 25 year break due to raising kids and bike access. I just bought a Honda Shadow VLX600 and am starting all over and scheduled for the MSF in a couple of weeks. :) Good for you...

Starting riding about 28 years ago when hubby asked me if I ever thought about riding my own. He taught me, rode illegal for a while and then whent he kids all left home, went out and got a bigger bike and took the MSF class which answered a lot of questions for me and now I am as confident as ever....

Good question! I believe that being in shape is best for everything you do in life and riding a bike is no different. I don't agree with the previous comment that riding a bike is like driving a car, it definitely takes more muscles to ride a bike! Here's my list of muscles that I think are most us...
