I use a product called NevrDull. It's cotton wadding that comes in a can. We used to use it in the Navy for polishing and shining brass. Works really good.

No problem in Dallas. I have V&H Cruzers on mine. I can make a Hound dog deaf. When I get it inspected all the guys gather round just to listen as I rev her up.

Sounds of a Harley

This could be just my imagination. I watch a lot of videos on You Tube of Harleys and their exhaust sounds. It seems to me that the 1200 Sportster has a much deeper and sweeter exhaust note than the big bore Harleys. What are your thoughts? :D

Thanks to each one you. Very helpful information. I am now thinking more along the lines of a Dyna Glide. The cost is not that much more than a Sportster but a significant step up in size and power.

The Rocker (IMO) looks a little better, but the Rocker is some 6 or 7 grand more than the Raider. That may sway a lot of peoples decision on their purchase.

Both are excellent bikes. I ride a Volusia and ride with friends that ride Yamaha 1100's. The Yamahas are actually a little slower in lower gears. The Yamaha may have a little more top end I'm not sure. I've ridden both and the Volusia (C50) is more comfortable (imo). The C50 is liquid cooled vs. ai...
