The wires from the alternator are not hot. The amps are uniformed with minimal variation. (.05 variations) I did an external short test..no short. That will Not resolve the melt down..the wires are still....

That will Not resolve the melt down..the wires are still burning hot as if there is a direct short which in the end may burn out the stator or something worse. I have already alleviated the connector and removed it from the harness holder ( in fear of a grounding short). It's hard wired now. It's ch...

Honda Shadow VT-700/750 '83 & 84 Whats with the rectifi

rectifier wiring melt down. All my shadows have a serious melt down problem at the wire connector. Three yellow wires from the rectifier going over to the alternator melt down at the plastic connector. Charging is not affected. :frusty:

"ROAD RASH" Riding in slippery weather, Turn motorcycle into JUNK. Brain dead. These are terms associated with riding in the winter. We have lots of snow and ice. It's just a thing.

YES I RIDE. Riding is a way of life. I ride year around, using cold weather gear in the winter. I'm a diehard rider. I have at least 5 or more bikes to ride at all times. I ride dirt, road and on/off enduros. I own Japenese bikes. Being in the wind means just that..

Life is like a "silver dollar"...You can spend it anywhere your heart desires (just about anywhere). U can spend it on anything U want. BUT, You can only spend it once!!
