I never expected you to fix my bike or figure out the problem for me. I am simply asking if anyone has experienced these symptoms, and what other parts of the bike I might check to determine the root of the problem. I didn't ask for people to call into question my technical ability or the soundness ...

I have an owners manual (most of it written in pretty humorous Engrish) and a parts list that I downloaded from the company website, and I found a nice service manual out on the interweb somewhere. But none of this literature helps me determine the cause of the symptoms my bike is experiencing. Am I...

I bought it from the guy on the corner in the run-down part of town. There is no warranty.

Gas in the oil, won't go into gear: valve problem?

I just bought my first bike. It's a new bike (as in not just new to me, but only 120 miles on the odometer) that hasn't even been broken in, yet. The guy I bought it from said it had been sitting for a while, so decided to do some maintenance before I took it out for my/its first ride. I put some fu...

I have a Black & Decker charger that I bought for $20 - 25. It adjusts the charge as the battery gets "full." I haven't had any problems with it.

I forgot to mention that I finally got the bike started. I set the battery up on a trickle charger and put a little fuel stabilizer in the tank. The next day it fired right up.

Thanks for all of your advice, everyone!

I've tried it with the kickstand up now with no change in the result. I think the problem is with my battery. I used a jumpstarter to try and start it, but nothing new; I just drained the jumpstarter. I think I'm going to get a trickle charger to recharge the battery fully. If that doesn't work, I g...

I have not tried to start it with the fuel switch in Reserve. (What is the Reserve setting for, exactly?) The fuel guage reads three-quarters full and I can hear gas sloshing around in the tank. The kill switch is set to the circle, as opposed to the circle with the X through it. This is the correct...

Kansas City

I'm new to TMW and to motorcycle riding in general. I just bought my first bike yesterday, and I'm pretty excited to get it licensed, get my permit, and start riding!

Are there any other Kansas City motorcyclists on the forum?
