man this is an old post. the first post on the thread said he was paying $2.50 a gallon. its damn near $3.50 now. in north florida, im paying $3.29. thank god i ride a bike.

go for a standard bike. the riding position is key, and in the case of the FZ6, honda 599, or sv650, you still get the sport bike engine and zip while having a riding position for forgiving to your back. go with the fz6 or fz1 bike if you want to stick with yamaha. i personally like the sv650. great ...

i use my ipod and its little white headphones on the bike somethimes. the headphones are not very noise canceling so it is easy to hear traffic along with my tunes. the ipod fits nicely in the inside pocket of my riding jacket. it is probably not a good idea, or safe, but when im just cruisin to ...

yeah, get the 250 but buy it used. i've had a 750 for a few months now, i want something faster already. you'll be trading in that 250r pretty quick after you get the ropes down. so buy a used one, something you wont have to make payments on.

uh, thanks?... how about some info on damage to the bike. will i be hurting anything that i am not going to replace anyways?

i am waiting on parts and tools to arrive in the mail to change my sprockets and chain. i have a popping noise that is constant because of a bad sprocket. am i doing any damage to the bike other than to the sprockets and chain by riding around with this problem?

ride around in a college town and you'll get all the emergency braking practice you can want. at night its like hell with all the drunks. i wish my bike had more powerful brakes.

i probably did it wrong, but my first bike is the one i have now. 91 honda nighthawk 750. it was the bike i always liked and researched. the bike has never intimidated me. they do make a 250 version of the NH but i just couldnt see riding such a little bike. with out a doubt. but then again, i sing all the time. im not saying that i am any good what so ever, but being a musician, i always have my own soundtrack going in my head. for some reason it is usually dave matthews or AC/DC. dont know why?????
