Around here, with thick woods, sometimes right to the edge of the road, and a plethora of Bambi and company, night riding can be a bit treacherous.

My brother and I bought a Honda 305 Dream in '67. We tried to teach my sister how to ride and wound up with a broken Dream... :shock:

Most of my riding is daily commute, although I do a lot of pleasure riding when the weather is good. I've done 900 miles in a single day for the shear enjoyment of it. I just enjoy riding.

My thinking is;

"Any day that starts and ends with a motorcycle ride, is a good one".

Re: Suggestion for "The Motorcycle Bikers Dictionary&am

Good suggestion! I'll add that in. I thought I already had that one, but guess not. Ops. I'm a big fan of the naked muscle bike. Ahh. Z1, ZRX, 919, CB1300... yup. Mike Thanx. Seems strange not to be able to find a definition for "musclebike" anywhere. It appears to be in relatively common use in th...

Nice Valk... I have a '97 Bumble Bee for sale, hopefully it goes soon... By the way, welcome to the site. Living in this part of the world is great, isn't it... Thanx. Haven't ever heard one referred to as a Bumble Bee. I can see where it comes from tho'. Valks sell pretty quick here in Seattle. Lo...

Re: Suggestion for "The Motorcycle Bikers Dictionary&am

Sounds like you're referring to that beaut in your avatar. I've always heard them referred to as Power Cruisers or just Heavyweight Cruisers. Thanks, I do like my Valk. They have been frequently referred to by some as musclebikes. Other machines I've seen under the heading of "Musclebike" are: Boss...

I've put 15K on this 1983 Interstate in three years without a hitch. http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w206/flamewerks_bucket/1983_gl1100i.jpg This '78 has been my daily rider rider since last August. These vintage GoldWings are a great machines. http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w206/flamewerks_b...

I'll second the suggestion for riding Hwy 101. I've ridden it from Shelton, Washington to Sappho, Washington and then taken Hwy 113/112 back along the coast to Port Angeles. If you're wanting to go into B.C., you could take the car ferry from Port Angeles to Victoria, BC. From there, ride up Hwy 17 ...

The most gallant and brave thing I ever saw

A biker is riding by the zoo, when he sees a little girl leaning into the lion's cage. Suddenly, the lion grabs her by the cuff of her jacket and tries to pull her inside to slaughter her, under the eyes of her screaming parents. The biker jumps off his bike, runs to the cage and hits the lion squar...

Puget Sound "Tricycle Squid"

So a neebie here is also known as a Tricycle Squid?

Gotta love it! :laugh5:

It's particularly fitting in my case as I live near the Puget Sound. :squiddly:

Suggestion for "The Motorcycle Bikers Dictionary"

I hear or read this term on a regular basis, but rarely have I found it defined. I'd like to suggest it be added to "The Motorcycle Bikers Dictionary" and offer a "definition". Musclebike- A Standard or Naked motorcycle equipped with a large displacement engine that produces lots of power and torque...
