It's a 70 bhp bike from 1982. How much power is it likely to be producing today? 60? 50?

The weight, brakes and handling are the things that _might_ flag it as non-ideal to me (but what do I know).

As a thing, it looks great, IMO. As a motorbike, well, perhaps not...

I was once 'making good progress' in a cage, following 200 yards or so behind another, which was really knocking on. Exited one corner, only to find the car that had previously been nailing it reversing down the middle of the road, having overshot a right hand turn into a driveway.

Nice looking bike! Is the front tires tread pattern opposite that of the rears or is it just my eyes?

I went 10 years from passing my test (in the UK) to buying a bike.

I went for a 650 last month. I figured someone of my advanced years and maturity could handle it.

How's your eyesight? I'm pretty sure my occasional problems with left-hand U turns have to do with the fact that I have a lazy left eye. I also get an occasional mild vertigo if I'm walking with a cliff to my left, but never to my right. Probably, it's the same thing.
