anyone going to Americade in Lake George, NY next week? I'm excited that i finally get to go - not only that, but i get to ride up there myself! not just on the back with my dad anymore. hehe

i agree with that. if i was to return the nasty look, then that would just make the situation worse...but theres no harm in being proud of yourself. hopefully for every dirty look you might receive you get two winks or smiles to make up for it.

i love reading all these posts, i feel like i learn alot. but i notice that i dont always know what some of the slang means. is a 'cager' another name for a car or truck on the road. the context of it makes sense but i just wanted to make sure.

i find i have a hard time getting the strap undone to take my helmet off if I'm still wearing my gloves, so they are the first to go, then the helmet.

haha, the second one is the best, i actually love the smell of exhaust! id rather smell like my bike then some of the weird perfumes out there.

first of all, i can completely sympathize with your passion for bikes and wanting to ride, but also being afraid of it at the same time. what i would suggest is really getting to know the bike and how your motorcycle works before even thinking of riding it. get comfortable sitting on it, and leaning ...
