Re: It's been a while
We wanted to catch canonization of Pope John Paul II as it was being broadcast fron Rome. Something different to experience. The parking space I was backing my bike into was not well lit and my foot hit a divot. I recovered quickly enough and didn't drop my bike. I would have got such a lecture from...

Re: Afternoon Tea
My equivalent of afternoon tea since I've given up on snacking between lunch and dinner is picnic in the park. As long as hubby and I have been together he said that he never knew I prefer take-out and a bike ride over a sit down restaurant for our lunch dates. Are most partners that oblivious?

Re: It's been a while
Same here. I'm riding more this year than last and have given myself some good riding challenges. For instance, not avoiding routes that have road construction projects. It's been a great confidence boost and I find that life has presented more riding opportunities like getting up at 2am to make a 3...

Re: Ladies.......How far are you riding these days?
Hi Ladies, Not much activity on this topic, but it might have some value if it picked up again. I'm back in the saddle after a long break. Life is pretty full and hubby and I can't seem to find the time for a long ride on the weekends. I mostly put miles on my bike commuting and running errands. A c...

Re: LADIES-Do it yourself or get someone to do it for you?
Hi, About the coolant flush, do you have any tips on how with my limited hand strength I can disconnect the fuel hose from my fuel tank. My manual says to remove the tank to get to the radiator cap on my Honda Shadow 750. I'd like to do this job myself if I can get the darn hose off and back on agai...

Re: Replacement Battery
Great, I'll start price shopping today. In the mean time, I'll be riding and getting used to my 2008 Honda Shadow Spirit 750cc. It's so nice to ride.Wrider wrote:Nope it'll work just fine!

Replacement Battery
Any advice for or against swapping out electrolyte/wet cell battery for a gel type? It's for a 12v 10ah used by my 2007 Yamaha Virago 250cc. Thanks.

Have you played any of the on-line games here? It's been a while for me since my laptop bit the dust this past Fall. There are a few cute road games/simulators, but favorite was Mahjong.blues2cruise wrote:We have more snow forecasted....my bike will have to wait a bit more.

Re: Ladies - how do you feel today?
Go for the Honda Shadow. You will be far happier in the long run. The Suzuki is not going make you happy if you want to do any highway riding. It will be at its limit and revving high all day. The Honda Shadow will be easier for a long ride and you will be more refreshed. Good point. That brings up...

Re: Ladies - how do you feel today?
Feeling pretty good and confident. Test rode a Honda Shadow Spirit and Aero, both are 750cc. Also rode a Suzuki S40 (650cc). The Hondas are great cruiser bikes; they are a big leap from my Virago 250cc. I had more fun on the S40. Are the S40's quirky when it comes to downshifting? I had to really st...
