Hi Tennif,
The bike currently has a 2 into 1 pipe which I'm not crazy about (both the sound & look).

I'll probably get slip-ons in about 4 to 6 months, but wanted to remove the baffles in the meantime.

I'm not very mechanically inclined so I'll be using a local bike mechanic to do both for me.

Thanks Paul. Actually I meant baffles.. :? I'm not looking to get it "too" loud, but more of lower end sound, and yes a bit more volume. The reason I mentioned removing the baffles is because so many folks have recommended taking them off.

Wish there was a way to compare. For example how many more ...

Removing Ballast

Hi,
Can anyone tell me how much more "growl" or loudness can I get by removing ballast from my pipes. I have a 2007 v-star 1300 which is too quiet for my taste, but I also don't want to annoy the neighbors (not too much)

I don't have the money right now to get new pipes, and I haven't found ...

Great First Winter Ride

My wife and I took our first winter ride this weekend. Although there's not much of a winter in South Florida, it was still pretty cold.

Check out the post about it:

Something like this happened to me once while pulling into a parking space. After getting over the initial scare, I tried to analyze what I did wrong. I friend of mines suggested that maybe I used the front brakes instead of the rear while turning. I realized that was exactly what I had done. The ...

A friend recommended these guys for my V-star 1300. The prices and availability are the best I've come across so far. Do a search by your bike make/model.

Hope this helps.

However now that the love-bug season is quickly approaching, I have to re-consider getting one. Don't know if any of you have ridden through a swarm of these things, but it's a nightmare when you're in a car. I can't begin to imagine how it feels on a bike.

Lately I've seen a lot more women riders. A couple of weeks ago my wife & I rode down to Key West for the Poker Run with 8 other bikes. Five of them were women. Had a blast. :D
