Reserve tank ??

Okay so this sounds stupid, but I just bought a 1986 Shadow VT700C without an owners manual. Got the Clymers for repairs, but I can not for the life of me figure out if there is a fuel reserve setting vs. just on or off? I see nothing to indicate this-do I just go by the idiot light that goes on? Th...

It has piping sewn into thus the pup tent reference. Anybody heard about these and do you know where I can ...

Yeah, Kelley says $1950, but you can't always go with them even with retail, but they also assume mileage would be 45k++. Figured I would offer 2000-2400 max.

85 Shadow 700c or 93 Shadow 1100c

I need help from those in the know: I am getting back on a bike after 10 years. Mostly looking for gas mileage, but don't want a woosie bike either. My last bike was a CX500 (1980's). So here's my problem: I have 2 bikes I'm weighing: 1. 85 Shadow VT700C 13K mileage/really clean no dents/scratchs, n...

Yeah-old Nighthawks. Good choice. Was shooting for a 2000 plus but I think I'll look into them. Thanks.

Old school Honda's vs. new

Hey all-
Just getting back in the game and looking to buy a new (ish) Honda. I have been looking at the Shadow Spririt VT750C2, but I am curious if this is too far a cry from my old '78 CX500-responsiveness and handling (God knows I welcome the lighter weight). Any recommendations??
