My first (last month) is a c50T. Let me know when you're out of class and riding, we can compare newbie notes. It is indeed MUCH heavier than the class bikes, but it's been good to me so far.

Needs a new horn, though...

Monkeywright's New Bike Day!

I got my first bike! Found a good deal on a Boulevard C50T, and I rode it home tonight. So much more responsive and smooth than the nighthawk we learned on in class (but I wouldn't mind riding one of those again, either.)

Anybody in SoCal want to ride (if you can put up with my rookie blunders ...

2005 Bonneville America - Thoughts?

I found a decent price on this bike (new at dealer). I think it's between this and an M50/C50T...
I would prefer the M50, but price may dictate otherwise. The Bonny is about a grand less, and I like that it has a 2 year warranty. Not too excited about tube tires, and it has a little more plastic ...

First bike...so close...must...sell...car

This is killing me. I need to sell my car before I can get my first bike, and scouring Craigslist, I'm seeing a lot of good stuff out there...Dammit.

Anyway, the main question (aside from "anyone in SoCal wanna buy a nice '06 Matrix?") is this 85 Honda Shadow:
a little older, but fully decked out ...

It just occurred to me that this thread is kind of an oxymoronic mind twister. If it's an "unwritten" code, how can we write it here?

Oh great, now the whole world knows... Here I thought we could all keep the secret, but no. Someone had to go and let the cat out of the bag about these not being ...

At the end (for our class anyway) they give you a certificate of completion that you can show to your insurance company for discounts and get discounts at CycleGear as well. The DMV form (DL389) has to be filed first with the state, so you should get it sometime within a week of finishing the class ...

There is nothing special or unusual about the page. Plain old HTML launched with a standard JavaScript popup. If it won't load for anyone, perhaps your pop-up-blocker or security permissions for JavaScript are set really high.

In Firefox, the window pops up, but only the first video is viewable ...

I could get a Mohawk thingie (they're only 15 bucks or so)... but would it look wrong on a cruiser? That's my main concern. I don't want to look like a rocket jockey who's on a loaner bike while his gixxer is in the shop...
