Tires

So I'm working on turning the old CB360 into a cafe and I've seen some online that have a more modern sport bike look to the tires. Can you put a somewhat larger tire on the stock rims or do I need different rims etc?

VTR1000 having trouble shifting into 1st

Just like it says, having trouble shifting into 1st with the 'Hawk. All the other gears seam to work fine and shifting into neutral is fine too. Its like 1st gear isn't there, the shifter just springs back up when I push it down. On that note, I did dump it trying to avoid a cop that pulled out in f...

VTR1000 Superchicken fairing

So I had to dump my 'Hawk this spring because a cop decided he needed to pull out in front of me...thats another story, came out pretty good, helmet saved my life and made a critical accident a pretty mundane one. Anyhoo, the 'Hawk is now in need of some body work, not that it looks bad, I would jus...

custom speedo...

Hey all...I'm currently finishing up the deplastication of a '99 Ninja 250. I basically just took the front fairing/lower fairing off and got a new headlight for it. It looks pretty sweet with the new paint, I'll post pics here in a bit. I am looking for a new speedo/tach etc as the stock one doesn'...

'82 Seca dies when the clutch is let out

Will a gas tank from a zx6 fit on a ninja 250? I'm turning it into a naked bike and don't feel like doing tons of bondo to smooth out the area where the fairing covered...

99 Ninja 250

So I went and picked up this 99 ninja 250 for $500...ran good and was kind of a fun ride. Only problem it had that I could tell was the kid I bought it from paintedit flat black. So I took the plastics and tank off so I could start prepping them for a more stock paint scheme and when I pulled the ta...

Re: 1981 Honda CM400C / Rich Running/ Lugge rack

I have a CB360T that was running like that until it took a dump. I bought an original Honda Shop Manual on ebay for like $10. What I would do is find someone that can do a leakdown test on it. I'm guessing being an '81 and only having 3500 miles on it, your rings are shot and you have some corrosion...

Would you recommend a rectifier from the Honda dealer or an aftermarket one?

Re: New bike, more problems - SuperHawk VTR1000

I don't know what a bump start is...I'm guessing it's like popping the clutch. I had the good fortune of my wife being nearby and giving me a jump off her explorer...love you dear!

New bike, more problems - SuperHawk VTR1000

So, I was riding home from work today, pulled up to a stoplight...waited; light turned green...rolled on it and the bike died. No biggy, 'hawks have a tendancy to spit themselves out...so i went to fire her back up and got nuthin. Luckily there was a gas station right there and I roller her into the...

Throttle locks

Hey all, I'm looking at getting a throttle lock for my 'Hawk. I've read some reviews on the Vista throttle lock and it seems to be pretty good esp for the $25 price tag. I've also heard that the throttle meister bar end lock is really good. I'm not sure about the throttle meister as you have to turn...

yamaha xs1100 seat

I have a friend with a 1980 Yamaha XS 1100 that he is trying to fix up. He wants to get a new seat for it but is wondering if a seat from a 1978 will fit on a 1980? Any thoughts?

Diggin' the SuperHawk...but...

So I'm loving the SuperHawk...I love they way it rides and sounds. Only thing I'm not digging is I only get about 87 miles until the fuel light comes on...with rough math that's about 20 mpg. Is something going wrong here?
