Re: Helmet Habits

I used to go to a local dealer to get a new helmet, always looking for sales. Now, without such a stocking dealer, I need to buy on line. I've tried twice in the last year to try different brand/sizes with no luck. Perhaps I should make a new post. I really want to hear what everyone else is doing. ...

Re: Stupid mistakes and solutions.

Thanks! Yea, the dealer is 115 miles away, in another state.. Its usable. Perhaps a local dealer of another brand can lighten the shock preload and lower things a little. I got no options at this time. Most of my riding in the past was less than 100 miles. This will provide that. I've used it. its r...

Stupid mistakes and solutions.

I've been looking at Electric Bikes for a while.... Please don't throw stones.... I've sat on a few. There was a left over 2019 DSR at a sale price. I bought it! The ones I sat on before I could flat foot. I didn't get on this one before doing paperwork. I can't now. Just the toes of ...

rustoleum Hi-Heat paint, at any auto parts store,
is made for headers and exhaust.

Read the manufacturer's data sheet.

Re: To Ride an Iron Horse - Jack of the Green's Blog

JackoftheGreen, Facebook is a link to my children's lives. Less than 1/2 hour a day does it there. I feel your pain on the time burned. Its virtually impossible to Know what platform or content will draw conversation and interest. I'll never understand the whole social media evolution. Your work her...

What's available in your area's ads?
Have you taken the class yet.?

Re: First Bike - A Deal vs Patience

I assume most rides are less than 50 miles then?
If I might offer an opinion from my limited experience.....

For that type of riding I'd stick with a lighter bike with a mid range engine.

Re: 1988 vulcan

I'm not much more than a back yard tinkerer. This has me intrigued. I don't know why.... 14 volts at idle is usually a good alternator and voltage regulator... However a test needs to be done to show a voltage of about 15 to 15.3 at normal cruise speed. look for a Volt meter display for the charger ...
