Re: Re-introduction...

Ok, Wrider, you've opened up a can of worms. The baby is great! She is SO CUTE. 7.27.13, 6lbs 1oz, 19.75in, super healthy. The mom in me wants to spam pictures of her all over this thread, but I'll just link an album instead... sigh... http://imgur.com/a/XFuMP#0 Back to things motorcycle-related: My...

Re: Re-introduction...

Well, here we are a few months later, post baby and post fear. We rode out to a parking lot and I finally took the reins. It was wonderful! I was so afraid of that machine. Honestly, it is easier to ride than my old FZR. The seating position is more upright, and once you get going, the bike just tot...

Re: Re-introduction...

Thanks for the kind words. BF has been very understanding regarding my hesitancy, and we discussed a few days ago about running out to a parking lot and doing some basic exercises. If I can go in a straight line for a little bit, I'll be happy. Definitely not the bike I want to start out on again, b...

Re-introduction...

I was around a while back. I crashed at the end of May in 2009 and did not get back on a bike until recently, and only then, was just sitting in the driveway. I miss the feeling that I used to have being on two wheels, but it scares the hell out of me. I sold my truck a couple of weeks ago to buy a ...

$300, eh?

I think you might be in for more of a headache than you realize.

/shrug

Grats on the bike, I guess. Broken bike is better than no bike, for sure.

Took a month break from the site.

Focusing on school, trying to find a new job, filling out more police apps, etc.

Have managed to put riding out of my mind for the most part. Guess I've just been too busy to worry about it. It's been a rough month.

You probably won't unless you're on a sport bike using the limits of braking regularly. Met a guy from Alberta today passing through. He was loaded down on his KLR, turns out he's headed to Tierra Del Fuego, as in the southern tip of South America. I admire the guy, but I wish he had forseen the we...

I noticed that, too... Was trying to figure out if I had really been away from TMW for more than just a couple of days.
