Yeah the test includes safety aspects...you spend about 35 minutes on the road, and any safety errors get you failed.

I'd also agree on buying used, much cheaper, and with the economy as it is you'll probably be able to get the price down even further ;)

Tbh I've only ever done france in a car... that said, the toll roads are very good and worth the money, in my opinion, if you're focused on getting places quickly. However france does have some very good roads. I can't remember the name, but they have special "scenic" routes, some of which...

Sorry to hear about the drops. No fun! I dropped mine, too, but at least the thing is already beat up enough to where you can't distinguish new scratches from old... :-D And not trying to start up an argument or anything, but what wrecks describes, IS, according to my MSF instructor (who I still ke...

I asked nicely in this thread to keep it on topic and when people fail to respect that it just kind of gets on my nerves. I'm not mad at anyone just disappointed :( Brackstone- Ignoring beginner's invitation to sophistic arguments ad adsurdum , I think I have a germane contribution. Actually though...

Oops didn't see the what happened question, sorry :D Basically I was tired after about a 12 hour ride, and I didn't see the gritter coming around the corner. Obviously newly-laid grit is slippy but my mind was in gear and I stayed leant over, which was lethal, next thing I knew I was eating tarmac. ...

Yeah I'm fine, the handlebars are bent, as is the footpeg. We've managed to bend the footpeg back into shape but not the handlebars. That plus new clocks is the only damage. Suprisingly I was completely unharmed, apart from a tiny scratch to the left of my eye. The benefits of being young I suppose ...
