Re: Questions from a soon-to-be Rookie!

Just piping in with my 2 cents. I started on a Suzuki TU250 and rode it for just over 3,000 miles in a year before moving up to a Suzuki SFV Gladius (which I've now had for 3 years) While I appreciated a wet weight of only 326 lbs on the 250 a little bigger cc's and heavier (446 lbs) bike makes a bi...

Re: WHAT!!! just checked out the suzuki website.

I had a 2009 TU250 and rode it for a year prior to my Gladius. Great motorcycle. 81 mpg. I miss it sometimes. Little tough passing cars on the mountain roads but it would do it if you were in a full tuck with the throttle WFO. I didn't realize how much of an attention getter it would be when I bough...

Re: Magazines you Recommend

For unbiased reviews of motorcycles and motorcycle products, and interesting articles, can't beat Motorcycle Consumer News. +1. We've subscribed to MCN for a few years and really enjoy it. We also subscribe to Rider (another favorite) and Cycle World. I've never read Road Bike. Hubby rides a Triump...

Re: Suzuki Rectifier Recall

The TU 250 is great. Bought it last March and put 2000 miles on it. Time to step up. I do find that it doesn't matter what direction you travel here in the valley you have a pass to go over and in a headwind you can tuck down over the tank and open it wide up and barely hit 60. It will pass a Prius ...

Suzuki Rectifier Recall

Hey all. Went to purchase a new 2009 Suzuki Gladius here in Oregon on Saturday. Got a smoking deal for $2k under MSRP but wasn't able to take it home. Had to just put down a deposit. Apparently Suzuki just released a rectifier recall and they have a stop sales and delivery on certain models. Parts a...

Re: What do you do in your regular life?

Not very exciting here... 1) The last 10 years I've been the sole Legal Assistant for an attorney that does mostly criminal defense 2) Best thing is my boss likes to take lot of time off and thinks I should too (hooray for salary) and we don't work any holidays or Friday afternoons. 3) Dealing with ...

Re: Poll: New riders, do you consider weight of a motorcycle

We are looking for a larger bike for me now and weight is still a factor. Looking at a Street Triple vs. Gladius, etc. I like the Bonneville SE but at 75-100 lbs more than the others I am reluctant. Trobairitz- A bike I could recommend you look at is the BMW F650GS twin. (Despite the 650 name, this...
