Re: The Riding Game!

I'll make it semi-easy...how about a background of water with a bridge or ship in it.

Re: Discuss: Modulating motorcycle headlights...good or bad?

Like Gray Thumper says, way too annoying. Riding towards someone with one of those drives me nuts. If there was one that used a lower intensity bulb, maybe with a yellow lens cover that would be better, but I don't think I would get one though.

Re: Discuss: Do you pay attention when you ride? Or daydream

Depends on road type, weather, etc. There are a lot of quiet 2 lane roads where I'm at with very little traffic going through farmland with excellent visibility. Times like that I'll let my mind wander a little. In urban areas or highways it's another ball of wax. Also in a few more weeks it'll be m...

Re: Helmet laws - for or against

I always wear a helmet, got a concussion in the Army once and don't want my brain rattled again. That being said, to me it should be the choice of the rider as long as they are over 21 and/or have at least 3 years of riding under their belt.

Cop screwed up...

While I support our LEO for keeping us safe, some need to re-learn the Bill of Rights.

Let's see what the DA does to this guy. The Car driver jumped bail and had his license suspended eariler. Guess the taxpayers of Michigan will be providing room and board for the next 15-25 yrs...

I like RoadRunner Motorcycle Touring and Travel. They don't give deep reviews on bikes and gear IMHO, but the travel articles (both N. American and elsewhere) are well written and keep my bucket list in a constant flux...

Re: Help in choosing a new bike

Another thing to consider is watch the dealerships to see if any one nearby might be having a demo days on a (usually) weekend. At least you can hop on a bike you thought about buying and see what it's like.

Re: Question regarding back seat - slipping

Update - put some saddle soap on the seat to treat the leather for about 15 min, then rinsed it off and let it dry. Bought some Kiwi Leather Lotion and use a sunny warm day to put a layer on while polished the rest of her. The leather sucked in it and I repeated the process. The seat doesn't feel sl...

Re: Question regarding back seat - slipping

She'd go for the sheepskin and tassel look...but a buddy of mine suggested using saddle soap on the seat, then trying a different type of leather dressing. I did use stuff from Wilsons Leather just because the Motor Company gets too much of my cash anyway. Will try something else and let you how how...

Question regarding back seat - slipping

Hello Ladies, I'm asking this question on behalf of my wife. Normally, she rides her own but on Sunday she decided to backseat it on mine (Harley Super Glide with backrest). I put a new seat on it last summer which she has never been on. After a dozen miles or so of going up and down a few ridges an...

Re: Prospective Backpacking Motorcycle

If you're not planning on spending much time riding on highways, maybe a used Suzuki DRZ-400? A single cylinder dual-sport that is relativity light, can cruise along at 50 mph on two-lane roads and is capable of off-road work. Plus it will be cheaper than a 650.
